27 Romosinuano specimens from Turipaná will be on display at the Livestock Fair

Montería, Córdoba. June 17, 2025. The Turipaná Research Center of AGROSAVIA will be present at the 63rd edition of the national livestock fair, participating in the first Romosinuano breed judging, held as part of the fair and organized by ASOCRIOLLOS. The Center will participate with 27 specimens including bulls, young bulls, calves, cows, and heifers the best of AGROSAVIA’s genetics.

Regarding AGROSAVIA’s presence in this judging event, Sergio Luis Mejía Kerguelén, director of the Turipaná Research Center, states: “Rather than competing with other cattle producers, our focus is on showcasing and highlighting the qualities and virtues of our Romosinuano breed, one of the criollo treasures of Colombian livestock.” He also added, “We aim to provide support and assistance to this major event that highlights the importance of criollo breeds in the country and thus contribute to strengthening this event year after year”.

These national judging were held back in the 1950s when the national livestock fair began, and it was Romosinuano specimens that were judged at that time. The idea is that participants and followers can get to know this breed and its many virtues.
