AGROSAVIA obtains the Advanced-Level Good Innovation Practices Certificate awarded by ICONTEC and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce
  • AGROSAVIA officially received the Good Innovation Practices (BPI) Certificate at the advanced level with a score of 98.5 %, a distinction jointly granted by ICONTEC and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
  • This certificate recognizes organizations that implement Innovation Management Systems (SGI) aligned with Standard NTC 5801:2018 and that demonstrate maturity, traceability, and structure in their innovation-oriented processes.

Bogotá, Capital District. December 10, 2025. AGROSAVIA received the Good Innovation Practices certification with a score of 98.5 %, placing it at the advanced level, a category in which only organizations that obtain between 90 and 100 points are classified. This certification process assesses the level of development of Innovation Management Systems across six strategic components: strategy, governance, processes, innovation culture, knowledge management and intellectual property, and the innovation ecosystem; through a comprehensive analysis of the organizational context, the definition of relevant objectives consistent with institutional innovation goals, the identification of risks and opportunities, and the promotion of an innovation culture that drives the exploration of new ways of doing things.

According to Maria del Pilar Sierra Gayón, head of the advisory office for organizational management, “with this certification, we reaffirm our commitment to innovation as an essential means to maximize value generation in the territories together with the communities. Innovation is also a process that allows us to enter new contexts, adopt new practices, and respond to dynamic and changing demands and trends. Through the Innovation Management System, we seek to be more efficient, optimize our processes, and continue being a benchmark for other actors in the innovation ecosystem.”

In the evaluation report, ICONTEC highlighted that the organization has a consolidated innovation system supported by a specialized team, as well as strong commitment from Senior Management, evidenced, among other aspects, in the promotion of an organizational culture oriented toward innovation, the operation of various technical committees, including the Innovation Committee, which strengthen decision-making, institutional participation, and the strategic management of the system; the presence of traceable information guiding processes; and the coordination of activities around shared objectives.

This recognition shows that innovation at AGROSAVIA is managed as a strategic process that will continue with actions in 2026 to further strengthen the Innovation Management System in pursuit of reinforcing the innovation culture, positioning AGROSAVIA at benchmark levels compared to other certified organizations, building strategic alliances, and consolidating practices aligned with sustainability policy.
