AGROSAVIA Presents Agrometrics: The Minds, Hands, and Faces Behind Scientific Metrics

Bogotá, Capital District. May 4, 2026. AGROSAVIA launches a new edition of Agrometrics, its institutional bulletin that translates scientific activity into clear, useful, and accessible information to support decision-making and the social appropriation of knowledge. Through data, analysis, and an engaging visual narrative, the publication demonstrates how agricultural research is transformed into accessible knowledge for the country, highlighting its impact on the sector and its positioning in national and international contexts.

This bulletin, developed by the Department of Scientific Intelligence and Communication within the Directorate of Research and Development, integrates metrics on scientific production, citations, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination. Agrometrics is a publication that goes beyond presenting figures; it facilitates a deeper understanding of research outcomes and demonstrates the impact of scientific research for diverse audiences.

The publication also highlights the role of scientific communication as a bridge between research and society. Sections such as Information Systems, Scientific Profiles, and the Data and Knowledge Ecosystem provide insight into how knowledge is organized, managed, and delivered to different audiences, ranging from researchers to producers. The publication demonstrates how scientific information is structured, managed, and made available to researchers, decision-makers, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector.

Likewise, the bulletin includes distinctive sections such as the Violet Section, dedicated to highlighting the contributions of women in agricultural science, and the Curious Corner, which features interesting findings from recent research to encourage and stimulate curiosity among diverse audiences.
