Corporación colombiana de investigación agropecuaria, AGROSAVIA, reaffirms its commitment to the effective integration of ancestral and traditional knowledge through its strategic approach to R&D&I for Social Inclusion in Technological Development (SITD). This approach promotes the integration of rural communities, farmers, women, and vulnerable populations in the co-creation of sustainable agricultural solutions relevant to their contexts.

Through its institutional projects, AGROSAVIA works with small and medium producers, Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities, rural women, and associations in PDET (Development Programs with a Territorial Approach) territories and Peasant Reserve Zones (PRZ), strengthening food security and sovereignty, promoting knowledge dialogue, building local capacities, and developing context-adapted technologies. These actions are complemented by innovative initiatives such as the use of digital platforms (BAC, CRIS, Linkata, and Siembra) and mobile strategies to overcome connectivity gaps in remote areas.
At the international level, research highlights the importance of participatory approaches, inclusion and gender empowerment, the use of digital technologies for inclusion, the integration of Indigenous and local knowledge, and the strengthening of institutional and policy mechanisms to foster resilience and equitable development.
With these strategies, AGROSAVIA not only addresses local challenges of the agricultural sector but also aligns with major global research trends, consolidating its role as a national and regional benchmark in building a sustainable, inclusive, and competitive agriculture.
In this effort, the Department of Scientific and Technological Intelligence and Dissemination plays a key role by contributing to knowledge management in R&D&I for AGROSAVIA, through the generation of technical-scientific analyses, the implementation of public science communication strategies, and the effective management of data and information associated with and generated by R&D&I projects. The premise is to ensure the availability and accessibility of this information to the entire community. These actions facilitate the availability of strategic information oriented toward strengthening decision-making in the agricultural sector.
With these strategies, AGROSAVIA not only responds to local challenges of the sector but also aligns with the main global research trends, consolidating its role as a benchmark in building a sustainable, inclusive, and competitive agriculture.
