Description
Through state-of-the-art gas chromatography equipment coupled to a triple quadrupole mass detector, high sensitivity is provided to detect extremely low concentrations of a wide number of molecules used as active components of agrochemicals utilized for pest control. It also allows specific monitoring of the agrochemicals used close to harvest time, reducing the risk of them appearing in evaluations carried out by regulatory and control authorities and generating rejections and alarms concerning the country of origin.
It is essential to carry out pesticide residue analysis at any stage of the production process, particularly during postharvest, to guarantee the safety of agricultural products.
In this way, agrochemical residues can be identified, and their concentrations can be determined to evaluate their impact on product safety.
Likewise, verifying compliance with legislation related to maximum residue limits and withdrawal times for each agrochemical used is possible.
