Description
The Eggplant C029 variety is characterized by having elongated purple to black fruits with a soft texture, which, due to its size, flavor, and shape, has a high marketing potential in local and export markets.
The use of this variety can indicate an increase in production represented by obtaining higher productivity per ha due to the greater size and quality of fruits of 30.87 t/ha compared to the average for the region of 20 t/ha; size (22.3 cm X 6.50 cm vs. 19.6 cm); and fruit weight of 307.9 g compared to 106 g.
This variety of eggplant is recommended for the producing areas in the departments of Atlántico, Bolívar, Córdoba, and Sucre.
