This variety has a longer green grain residence time without oxidizing or germinating (14.3 days before oxidation and 11 days before germination), which represents a reduction in postharvest losses and ensures a high commercial value in the Department of Nariño and its positioning in the national market.
According to the ICA registry, this variety presents resistance to the most limiting diseases of the crop: anthracnose and ascochyta; however, currently, the presence of these diseases has been found.
