Pumpkin AGROSAVIA La Plata
Cucurbita moschata Duchesne ex Poir

Description
AGROSAVIA La Plata is a cake-shaped pumpkin variety adapted to the warm climate conditions of the Caribbean region of Colombia. This variety expresses average yields of 19.9 tons per hectare, higher than local materials. The quality of the fruit in terms of shape (95% discoid or cake-shaped fruits), weight (2.1 kg), and internal quality (pulp percentage of 40.5%, dry matter of 11.5%, pulp thickness of 38.5 mm and intermediate orange pulp color), allows it to meet the regional market standards for fresh consumption. The fixation of the cake-shaped fruit gives it commercial advantages over local cultivars that do not exceed 51% of fruits with these characteristics, which in turn are recognized by marketers and end consumers as top-quality fruits and generate greater demand in the purchase.
