Livestock Microbiology and Animal Health
The Network has technical capacities to diagnose diseases of importance in animal health, characterization, isolation, and evaluation of microorganisms with importance in safety, nutrition, and animal health, to respond to the needs of the country's livestock sector.

The network has technologies that allow rapid diagnosis of microorganisms, antimicrobial resistance, management of microorganisms, veterinary hematology, and spaces with controlled atmospheres to investigate particular microorganisms.
The laboratories of the Network are organized into specific areas:
- Bacteriology, virology, fungi, parasitology, reference materials, and anaerobic microorganisms
- Specialized analysis
- Hematology
- Immunoassays
AGROSAVIA has the only laboratory in Colombia with accreditation by the national accreditation body ONAC (for its acronym in Spanish) in the compositional, hygienic, and sanitary parameters of raw milk quality in reference and automated methodologies and is the national coordinator of the quality regulation and payment subsystem for raw milk.
Additionally, this Network includes the collections of microorganisms of the Germplasm Bank of the Colombian Nation with a nutrition and animal health approach. It also has working collections associated with the Colombian Integrated Surveillance Program for Antimicrobial Resistance COIPARS), clostridial strains, entomopathogenic fungi, and ecto and hemoparasites.
The Network of Livestock Microbiology and Animal Health Laboratories has six laboratories located in different research centers.
