Description
AGROSAVIA Sabanera is a new guinea grass (Megathyrsus maximus) available for grazing beef or dual-purpose cattle. It is ideal for rotational grazing systems of paddocks in different areas of the Colombian Caribbean region in well-drained soils with medium to high fertility.
It stands out for its high percentage (13.3%) of crude protein 21 days after regrowth, its digestibility (60.7%), and its moderate tolerance to Blissus sp. and Aeneolamia reducta.
AGROSAVIA Sabanera shows a high forage production of dry matter, with 1,200 kilograms per hectare in the dry season and 4,129 kilograms per hectare in the rainy season.
This pasture is recommended for the departments of Bolivar, Cordoba, and Cesar.
