Bogotá, Capital District. April 13, 2026. Corporación colombiana de investigación agropecuaria – AGROSAVIA, through the La Suiza Research Center and in partnership with Universidad Industrial de Santander – UIS, informs the academic, technical, and productive community of the agricultural sector that the registration for the diploma program “Tools for the Identification of Insect Pests and Plant Pathogens” is now open, with a deadline for application scheduled for next Monday, April 20.
This academic program aims to provide participants with conceptual and practical tools for phytosanitary detection and diagnosis, contributing to the strengthening of capacities for effective decision-making in the agricultural sector. The diploma integrates classical morphology approaches with advanced biotechnology tools, promoting a comprehensive perspective for plant health management.
Likewise, the initiative seeks to foster alignment among scientific knowledge, the needs of the productive sector, and academia, thereby improving the competitiveness of Colombian agriculture.
The diploma program has a duration of 120 hours, will be delivered in an asynchronous virtual format, and is structured into four modules, allowing flexibility for participants from different regions of the country.
