Bogotá, Capital District. June 26, 2026. On June 21, Colombia held the second round of its presidential election, a key milestone in the country's democratic process that determines its institutional direction for the next four-year term. This electoral process reaffirmed the strength of Colombia's institutions and marked the beginning of a new phase in the direction of national public policies, which the incoming National Government will lead.
Within this context, AGROSAVIA, as a public technical and scientific institution, reaffirms its commitment to the principles of impartiality, technical excellence, and institutional integrity. Our work is grounded in generating knowledge and transferring technology to strengthen the agricultural sector, always serving all Colombians and aligning with national priorities, regardless of political orientation.
In keeping with this institutional commitment, the Corporation will continue fulfilling its mission within the framework of the current Government's National Development Plan for the agricultural sector, ensuring compliance with the guidelines, objectives, and programs established by the current administration. This approach will ensure the continuity of ongoing processes, the stability of current initiatives, and the successful completion of this management cycle.
At the same time, and within the framework of the ongoing institutional transition, AGROSAVIA expresses its full commitment to carrying out the government transition process and working in close coordination with the incoming National Government. To this end, we will make our technical and scientific expertise available to support the design and implementation of the next National Development Plan by providing evidence, knowledge, and innovation that strengthen the formulation of public policies aimed at promoting the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, food security, and the well-being of rural communities.
We reaffirm our commitment to the country, to institutional continuity, and to strengthening public administration grounded in evidence, knowledge, and collaborative work—essential elements for addressing the current and future challenges that Colombia's agricultural sector faces.
